Um, I have a question. I saw that there was a difference between the Stormbreaker book and the Stormbreaker book with the picture of the movie. How different are the two books? Is there a difference in the actual plot and wording of the book?

You know I'm kinda confused with the book and the movie too  huh

I mean......in the movies, the creator of Stormbreaker was Darrius Sayle, right? So what's up with me hearing about this guy called Herod Sayle?

Harod Sayle was the person who actually created the Stombreaker. That much I know. I don't know why his name was changed.

The movie's not too bad, in fact, it made all my imaginations come to life.

Haha, in the book it was actually Herod Sayle, a Lebanese billionaire (Egyptian in the American version). However, in the movie, it was changed to an American billionaire-Darrius Sayle. The name change all started when Mickey Rourke, the actor for the role asked Mr. AH to let him play the role. And because he wasn't Lebanese, or Egyptian for the fact (he was american), Mr. AH changed the name to a more American name-Darrius as Herod was a more middle-eastern name. And Mickey Rourke didn't have any middle-eastern features. Oh and did you know that the character John Crawley, the MI6 office manager, his name was changed in the movie to John Crawford after requests from the real Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) for the name to be changed. (Don't ask why, probably only the people in the SIS (MI6) know why.)

I think John Crawley is a real superspy... who knows?  huh

Plus: I've only heard of MI5 in the real world, and I've never heard of MI6 at all... (who cares? I'm just glad they made Stormbreaker into a movie!)

Bah - I dislike the stormbreaker movie. They did not follow the book at all - ALEX DID NOT MEET SABINA IN THE FIRST BOOK AND HE DID NOT RIDE ON HER HORSE !
If you don't plan on following the book, don't make the movie.

Hmmm... You have a point there. Anyone else has their own theories of why SIS (MI6) requested the name change? Do share it! I am curious. cheesy

And wow, I thought people knew MI6 better than MI5. But yeah who cares right. tongue

Ohoh... Am I going off topic here? If I am, mods please advice on the appropriate action. Thanks wink

I didn't like the movie AT ALL. It was a shame that it was so bad. I only watch it with my friend, and we make fun of it.  rolleyes

Oh, and Herod Sayle is not a middle eastern name.

I thought it was OK. Alex was cute! Many of the parts were inaccurate though.

I havent seen it, but apparently it's not that good and it doesn't keep to the book. I saw the trailer on youtube and it looked okay.. I guess... undecided

The Movie was okay, Alex was good for the role I thought.  I think the best cast person of all was Mr. Blunt, he fit his description from the book really well.  Jack was way off-character though. (She was cheesy!!)  And they could have gotten a better Yassen in my opinion.
