Be awesome! Be a book nut! - Dr Seuss

WOW

Okay

I thought the Yassen book would be about Yassens life

As in, starting when he was a teenager.

Does no one else LOVE the idea of a teenage Yassen?? Im sure theres something somewhere in the series saying he joined Scorpia when he was 19. I always thought the novel about him would start with him about Alex's age, with what happened to him in Russia to make his life go the way it did. And then he gets, somehow, to Scorpia. Maybe we see some of his training, a bit of John Rider - we get to see Alex's dad as a DAD Smiley - then (I thought) it would cut to the end of eagle strike and replay that scene, from Yassen's perspective.

Did I miss something? Did AH say the book would be about his as an adult? Im genuinely confused... I thought it would of course be about him as a teen... the AR series is teen novels, he calls it AR9 not A New Series About A 30 Year Old Assassin...

And I LOVE the idea of Yassen still being alive and MI6 having captured him and told him the truth about John Rider's loyalties and made a deal with him that he does one big mission for them and they'll leave him alone forever and that one big mission is WITH ALEX and = AR10.....

Really? no one else thought this??

I think a novel about Yassen's teenage life is brilliant!

It would relate a lot to the Alex Rider series and reveal a lot of secrets, I imagine. There must be a lot to his life, and why not put it all down in a book?

Didn't Scorpia have a prologue with Yassen's past?

I really think a Yassen book would be exciting. He's a hard-to-read character, and I spend half the time making inferences on what he's like. I think I read somewhere it'll have Alex Rider in it, so it's probably not completely Yassen. But still, cool idea.

I think it was Eagle Strike that has the prologue with Cossack and Hunter.

And I still say (because no one's telling me they know for sure I'm wrong!), it's Yassen's life story - you all KNOW what kind of author AH is, what he writes - I'm sure it's going to be Yassen as a teenager. It'll be something horrible happening when he's probably Alex's age, in Russia, that drives him to become a killer, and do what he does, and his training... DUDE it should be the most AWESOME BOOK EVER...

and then I think at the end it'll jump a few years, to Yassen dying at the end of Eagle Strike, but from Yassen's POV, and then have him wake up... and work with Alex... but I rambled about that a couple of posts back so yeah.

Lol have faith in AH guys!! Has he let us down yet?? It's gonna be awesome.

Oh right, it was Eagle Strike.   afro

Yeah, I think in Snakehead it mentioned some stuff about Yassen joining Scorpia and other juicy tidbits of information, but still a WHOLE book of Yassen!!! (yes, I'm overexcited) It'll hopefully have characters like John Rider, Ash, Alex, Scorpia executives...etc. in it. Hopefully.  grin

I think if Anthony Horowitz wants to write about Yassen, he should write it as another different series. \

I think he should write about Adult Alex. I think he should put an Epilogue in Scorpia Rising that tells about Alex growing up to be one of the best spys MI6 has ever had, and then he could start the series about adult Alex.

well if you listen to the clues he might.  He once said that he also had a mystery book that even his publishers didn't know about.  He also mentioned it in his latest blog entry I think.  But in the blog entry he said it might be years down the line.  It could also be about Alex's future son who they try to make a spy as well or something else crazy.  You never know.
