Who would I be... If I'd never met Alex Rider?

I don't know who he is, but he is lame. Also, wasn't the script written by AH?

Harvy Weinstien was like the "owner" of the movie, so to speak. Stormbreaker was "owned" by the weinstien company, so Harvy decided if it was going to play in America or not, which it didn't. Harvy told AH what to change and ,because Harvy controled the sucess of the movie, AH did what Harvy told him to.

Alex: "My first one is for Yassen Gregorovich." He turned to the Russian. "Why are you working for this lunatic?"

Ok, now I'm confused. It did play here in the U.S. but on limited screens. The closest theater that was playing it near me was pretty far out there. That's why I didn't see it in theaters. Besides, if I did, I would have walked out in the middle of the film.  rolleyes

The film was originally going to be more to the plot and for an older audience by a little bit. But this fellow you're talking about panicked at the last moment thinking that if they made it for say, 13 year olds and up, they wouldn't make enough money so they changed a lot of stuff to make it a lower age rating. Bummer. They have to decide, make them for younger kids or the teen audience. Either way, one age group is going to be disappointed.

Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
But if it's different than mine, then it's wrong.
