WHy no more movies have been made.

I think its because the explosions, events, special effects would be too hard to imitate in the film. The special effects get more ambitious in every book, and because of this, the movies would get harder to make.

personally, I enjoyed the movie because back then I had not read stormbreaker. But now I have read the book, I have noticed how different the movie was to the book.
for example, In the SB book smithers gave a Game Boy Color to Alex in a hut in wales and there was the speed wars, nemesis cart etc.
In the movie,  Smithers worked for Hamleys (??) and gave a Nintendo DS to Alex. With the DS, one of the games was just an average game, not a extraordinary one (Mario Kart DS)
another example- the fight between Nadia Vole and Jack Starbright did not feature in the book but was in  the movie.

the movie was so different to the book which spoilt it a bit.
but it was really good
i think the biggest thing that spoilt it was the enterance to MI6 and the inside of it
and the fact that sabina comes in

I am one of those who loves the movie and accepts the differences, even if I don't like them all. I have the special making-of movie book, and several of the things are explained. Pretty much, the fight scene and horse chase were not decisions that Anthony Horowitz made.

I do hope that later on they will try again. And NOT use stupid Spy Kids promotion stuff! The American title-Alex Rider:Operation Stormbreaker- was terrible! And the slogan, something like-rock the school, save the world. And the poster stunk. I was ashamed of it. Alex with a spy ID? And Sabina hanging off of him with Jack in Japanese outfit? Argh. And the trailer ended with a kick in the croch. That, in the USA, marks a movie as age six and younger, cause they are the only ones laughing.
So Please, give it a fresh start with...Skeleton Key! That one is serious and meaningful. I love Stormbreaker, but each book became more serious and less Diamond Brothers, and I like the Diamond Brothers, but Alex is better serious with his own puns thrown in.
And the Weinburgh, or whatever, in Snakehead is totally Weinstien!!! They do lots of low budget films, and for some odd reason they pushed Stormbreaker a week forward and switched the release from full-that means thousands of theaters-to limited release, meaning 200 theaters. No idea why. It's like they didn't believe in the movie.
OK. That's it with my ranting for now...

I think there should be more Alex Rider movies because in my opinion the books get better as they progress so i would think the movies would be good also. But if they did make another movie I think they should leave out the corny parts that are suppose to be comedy like Jack fighting the evil lady, that was pretty embarrassing.

The changes didn't really bother me, they left out some of my favourite parts but they added some good new ones. The only thing that really annoyed me was Sabina, I never really liked her, and her and Alex didn't go to the same school. I really want more movies. And they better keep the same actor, he is so cute!!!

well firstly about the original post... they cant do the books page by page.. i dont know about you but i dont want to sit through another lord of the rings length movie, as much as like the book lol it'll make it boring as
someone mentioned something about someone saying there can be to much action in a movie? and there was also something bout special effects too hard? have they watched a james bond movie? i love action! and if they can put as much action as they do into one of those movies and people still watch them they can diffently put it in a AR movie. the books dont have half the action they do. The special effects wouldnt be a problem with todays technology... for example pirates of the carribean 3... im pretty sure half teh movie was CG or something like that. it would be rather simple for them to do it for AR movie.

i agree with everyone that said they hated sabina in the movie. if they continue making them what are they going to do in eagle strike?? the only reason alex chases after damien cray is becasue of sabina. i mean geez was she really necassary? if they cut her out the only significant differnces is that alex would have had a different way to getting to the tower and she wouldnt have fell so they wouldnt of had alex's little hero bit at the end. i suppose they could still have the same story line in skeleton key but still... it was stupid putting her in there.
she was a terrible actor anyway... it looked like she was smilling when she was hanging from who knows how high in the air, who the hell smiles when they are about to possible fall to there death? crazy adults maybe but not a 14 yr old girl

i think alex is always useing round house kicks because it is one of the most powerfull in karate: back kick is actually the most  powerfull but he would have to twist away from his opponent to do it, which i know i woldnt want to do if they were out to kill me lol( i do karate by the way thats how i know this) i think he uses in the stormbreaker book? ushiro geri? i know were told the japanese name for it but i cant remember if ushiro geri is it... maybe oshiro geri? 2nd year of studing japanese and i cant even remember lol

im all for adding stuff to make the movie better but they added it in the wrong places. the junk yard fight scene was wicked!! thats the type of things they need to add, expand of the original, not add crap like the fight between jack and crazy chick. that was stupid and pointless.

if you actually got down this far.... i know everything i said points towards me hating the movie but i still enjoyed it.( i try to ignore the added bits..especially sabina) and i would love for them to make another, but maybe next time... stict to whatever script Horowitz writes. obviously if the books are top sellers he knows what us readers want. how could they go against the original writter!!! \

ill stop rambling now. just had to get all that of my chest lol

i think is because making movies takes times and money also this one has a lot of action and blasts in it which can be difficult to create

Well Anthony came to my city and some one asked if there was gonna be any more movies. he said no because the guy who helped make the first one either didnt want to do it again or was a dum ass. thats why in snakehead the guy alex was gonna give his eyes to was named after the producer of Stormbreaker the movie.

i dont think all movies made from books suck.. i think its just because they dont stay completly true to the book is why people dont like them. i like it when movies are made because it kind of brings it to life. i still prefer the books but i like the movies aswell.
